Short introduction

Blue Sky Project has the intention to coordinate various initiatives from people or organizations with an ambition in common, to bring the modern human way of living more in balance with nature around, in all respects.

How it came about

Lars, my friend and I often talk about how good we feel when we spend time up in the mountains around my home in Reine, Lofoten, Once we get higher the view gets better and we feel elevated in every way. In the old days people lived from the sea and they had to have their homes close to the seafront for all practical reasons.
People who wish to live close to the nature in Lofoten in the future doesn’t necessary need to place their homes in the same way like before as modern culture and new technology opens for new ways of thinking and planning for infrastructures and life style in general. Lars and I created this vision of Blue Sky City, a little urban miniature metropolis cut into my favourite mountain Olstind. A physical representation for the idea of an Elevated Life. In this village modern people could also live their lives close to nature as well as close to the feeling of being urban and most important, in good balance with mother nature and not least themselves. The elevated village would have an elevator connection down to the sea level inside the mountain where one would find an underground superfast sub sea train connection to the next village maybe only 15 minutes away. In this underground area we would also have a protected harbour for a super modern sailpowered fleet of fishing boats. A lifestyle tuned in for the future – non polluting – environmentally friendly in every aspect of life. This was our vision, our scenario for Blue Sky City.
I wish to encourage everyone to join in on contributing in their own particular way to be part of the vision Blue Sky Living

My wish is to contribute to this future scenario by developing that very Sailpowered Fishing Vessel. My first step into this process will be a small prototype boat that will function as a promotion and experimentation vessel for the whole project idea. This first boat will be called The Hybrid as a working title.

BLUE SKY FISHING …. WE NEED A SPONSOR

Blue Sky Fishing is the working title for a project with the ambition to develop a Sail Powered Fishing Vessel for the future. A workboat that will include all possible demands expected for a fishing principle in balance with available fish resources, and a future wish for a natur-adjusted lifestyle built into a modern framework.

The Hybrid

First step of the Blue Sky Fishing project will be to build a small boat that will work mainly as a promotional vessel for the basic philosophy and a working tool for the first development of the project. The boat will be quite free and experimental and is named The Hybrid as a working title.
