LOGBOAT

Logboats are the mother of all boats together with the skin boats and that was reason enough for me to spend a month digging into a piece of timber to get the right feel for it. My friend Bjørn lives in the big forest and that was the right place to find a big aspen tree and make a boat out of it.
At Domperud there is peace and quiet and Bjørn is the perfect friend to have and visit for this kind of studies. The silence of the forest is powerful and a great contrast to Lofoten – but also similar in many ways.
